Glock Protection

It is a well-known fact that, among many things, Germans are renowned for their engineering. Some of the best cars in the world are German engineered. Some of the best industry machines, electronics and aircraft in the world are from German engineering design. It’s no wonder then that German engineering minds can come up with a weapon as perfect and prestigious as the Glock 19. In 1980 the Austrian army was seeking tenders to upgrade their World War II era duty pistol, the Walther P38. At the time, a company called Glock Ges.m.b.H was producing polymer based products and the Austrian military at that time was one of their clients. Not for weapons, but for curtain rods and knives.

The managing director at the time was a skilled and experienced Austrian engineer named Gaston Glock. At that time, Gaston has always been a brilliant engineer and businessman but has never produced a gun in his life. Nevertheless, due to his skill in working with synthetic polymers, the Austrian military offered him the tender which in time would turn his name into a global nonpareil. In fact, Gaston Glock lacked any knowledge of gun manufacture or engineering by the time the Glock 17 was being prototyped. His work with advanced synthetic polymers is what the Austrian military was interested in.

And, as far as advancement goes, there is no comparison in regards to efficiency, size and control when it comes to the Glock 19. This semi-automatic, short-recoil operated pistol is a 3rd generation Glock that mainly fires 9mm Luger ammunition. The gun has a maximum capacity of 15 rounds but, if you’re a Glock owner, you’ll know that larger clips are definitely available. What makes the Glock 19 such a nice weapon is both its stopping power and its ease of concealment. It’s powerful enough to protect you in any situation but compact enough to be carried in a back holster or a purse. Here in South Africa, such a weapon could prove to be a preferred choice to many law-abiding South Africans.

Yes, such a negative stigma that gun owners have to deal with. But, as we said before, we plan to dispel and eradicate that stigma. Needless to say, the crime situation in our country isn’t getting any better, there are continuous rolling black-outs and our president is gallivanting in Moscow on taxpayer’s money. Things are looking grim. But there’s no need to feel blue, especially with the weight of an armed Glock 19 on your side. This firearm is the perfect tool of self-protection for any law abiding citizen and that is what we are trying to promote. We are not radicals, terrorists or people hanging on to the past. We are free South African men and women that wants the power to protect ourselves, not with knives, sticks or stones, but with firearms.
