Ladies, Protect Yourselves!

I suppose, saying something like that could get me into trouble. After all, many ladies have men that can protect them. But, if you look at the larger scheme of things, it only makes sense that women should learn to protect themselves. As mentioned in a previous article, women are genetically superior to men so it only makes sense that, in a life threatening situation, a woman can make a more informed decision than a man. Given the deplorable state of affairs in our country, specifically the recent xenophobic attacks, it’s not only prudent but smart for women to arm themselves.

Now, I know that many ladies may have a problem with guns. But that doesn’t make any sense. After all, a gun is simply a tool and without someone to pull the trigger, it’s just a useless hunk of steel and chrome and not particularly attractive. What’s also important is who is behind the trigger. True, any jackass can shoot a gun and, looking at the criminals in this country, there seems to be many jackasses running around the country, shooting people. But, when you take it upon yourself to learn first how to control and maintain a firearm, which decidedly does not make you a jackass. In fact, it gives you an edge over them.

By applying for your license and learning how to control your firearm you’re doing what most, if not all criminals in this country have neglected to do. Criminals emulate gangsters they see on TV and Hollywood and most likely don’t know a thing about cleaning their firearms, let alone aiming and shooting them. And, as any gun owner will tell you, owning a gun is about more than just pointing and shooting. By learning how to adequately maintaining your firearm as well as firing it, you learn a lot more than what the average criminal knows. In fact, if you take these measures, I feel sorry for any criminal that crosses your path.
